i was just sitting here in the great morning light of our apartment, and realized that it has been really fun doing this blog. i started it just so i would feel obligated to search out new design, and events near me, but now i want to keep it up because of the readership. thanks all for keeping me going- although i've been in and out lately.

hiatus possibly close to over...

i have been on a hiatus, although i did not announce it- i apologize- because i have been prepping creating my card line to go in this store. i am excited. there will also be some for sale on my etsy site. i'll keep you posted on when that is on the site.

i was so excited when i got my newest issue of blueprint in the mail- lotta jansdotter's new brooklyn digs were featured! check it out on the news-stands (i can't seem to find a picture online).

biz ladies is coming to town!

some great news- grace bonney of design*sponge is going to be gracing our city with her presence. we were number 5 on the top 6 to be chosen by her readers to have a small series of biz ladies (she talks to small business owners- design oriented and the goal is to form a small network and support group). i am so darn excitied!

i believe that grace is arriving in portland and seattle in february or march of 2008- final dates to come! i am so excited!

i must be hooked

i have a great relationship with coffee- we see each other often. i am definately a beverage person- and these darling marimekko mugs would do just the trick to cheer up my morning coffee.

on this weeks wish list

although i should not, i constantly check in on stewart + brown's site. it's hard to not want everything on there, with their lightweight knits, and their perfectly feminine clothing. this cotton smock dress is the top of my list!

i got shoes from my wish list

i was running some errands the other day and saw a store that had toms shoes. i got a pair, and i love them! they are so comfy and lightweight. and they are for a good cause!
